Our story
NYS Eyewear is a true New York success story that began as a single kiosk operation in the halls of the World Trade Center in New York City and has expanded to a network of over 1,500 sunglass retail locations worldwide.
As soon as their parents allowed them to cross the street on their own, two Brooklyn-born kids, Salvatore Babbino and Marc Behar, began a lifelong life. It didn't take long for them to go from childhood games to adventures to starting a business venture together. At an early age, they began their first business partnership selling the local newspaper for $0.25 on a busy Brooklyn street corner and 20 years later NYS Collection Eyewear was born.
Both Salvatore and Marc had learned over the years a simple philosophy: if you listen to your customers and deliver a quality product at an affordable price, customers will beat a path to your door. Today, 23 years later and with over 120 million pairs sold, Sal and Marc continue to listen to their customers and deliver quality products at an affordable price.
NYS eyewear has been established in Morocco since 2017, with the goal of sharing the New York lifestyle with Moroccans… NYS already has around ten stores and kiosks scattered throughout the main cities of the kingdom, and thousands of loyal Moroccan customers.
